Empowerment: "the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one's life and claiming one's rights"
I believe that accepting that we have a certain amount of free will will lead to our empowerment: we can impact the way things are.
From a conversation with my therapist: anxiety makes me lose my power, agency. Anxiety is controlling me. By mapping my loops (see Unwinding Anxiety), I am getting my power back
Is it about somebody giving you power? Is there a special term self-empowerment for when you give power to yourself (which essentially would mean realizing or using your power).
I feel empowered by analyzing meanings of power. This helps me feel that I am in control.
